Strumming Exercises (open strings)
Use the following exercises to get comfortable strumming in time with the metronome. Concentrate on a steady, continuous up and down motion with your arm.
Metronome = 60
Remember if you're having trouble staying in time, set your guitar down and practice clapping along with the metronome.
1. Quarter Notes (Down Strokes Only)
2. Eighth Notes (Down/UP)
3. Syncopated (Up Strokes Only)
